The HB Arizona in 1:350 scale is essentially the same kit as the MiniHobby Models Arizona. The MiniHobby Models kit is also the same as the sort-lived Banner labeled kit as well as a kit which was put out for a while under the Trumpeter label.
To some, MIniHobby Models acquired the reputation of being the subsidiary of the Wasan Moulding Company (i.e. Trumpeter's parent) which put out pirated copies and lesser quality models.
The Banner/Trumpeter/MHM kits all owe themselves to a pantograph of the 1:426 offering by Revell. They fixed some of the old Revell features & problems and introduced some of their own. To put a date on it, the original Banner-labeled kit was introduced at the 2001 IPMS USA Nats in Chicago.
The kit is the best large-scale injected plastic kit of the Arizona that is available. But it does not begin to match any of the Tamiya offerings as far as quality.
For the record, the best plastic Arizona in any scale is by Dragon in 1:700. The best large-scale Arizona may be the one originally done by Toms Modelworks - now available through Iron Shipwright
