ffg-7 ohp paint question

the academy 1/350 scale, the instructions just say gray for the hull/structures, gray green for the deck, and hull red.  what would be appropriate model master substitutes?

The spec for haze gray is 26270.  ModelMaster Neutral Gray is 36270, the difference being satin vs flat.

MM Gunship Gray is good for deck gray.  MM Engine Gray is good for new unweathered flight deck no-skid.   It soon weathers to gunship.

A great hull red is found in the model railroad side of the hobby shop.  Look for PollyScale Railroad Red Zinc Chromate.  Otherwise look for mineral red/boxcar red.   Another good one is Krylon red primer.

White Ensign's Colourcoat line of paints have all these colors (or is it colours) accurately mixed to the appropriate specifications

I would like to pipe in here.I have used with good luck I might add, MODELMASTER by TESTORS "RUST" for all my "below the waterline "paint on ships for quite some years now.I used the deck grey flat for flight deck areas and lightened "neutral grey"for the rest of the hulls on my ships. It looks okay and not as dark.    tankerbuilder
