ding ding ding ding.........and Manny wins a prize....lol........
I suppose connecting this event to the thrashing the I-53 took when it came out wouldn't be a stretch...
I read that as 'Lindberg is reconsidering their product line in light of sales figures on existing items'.
Free Time told me they cancelled the pre-orders because Lindberg would not/could not give a date when the I-20's would be released.
I'll never pre-order another new Lindberg kit until it's released and has a few reviews in since their I-53 abortion. I'm fortunate I din't take too much of a bath selling it on ebay......

Could be just Free Time's choice. I've asked for clarification.
I had pre-ordered the kit for $99.95 and $7.95 shipping back in 2007. If the kit should still come out, those prices are probably not sustainable anymore.
You might want to contact the President of Lindberg direct, he is a stand up guy. Ask him what the scoop is. I didn't see anything on their website about it.
If you don't get a response let me know.

"Its not the workbench that makes the model, it is the modeler at the workbench."
I just got an e-mail from Free Time hobbies that stated my order for the Lindberg 1/72 I-20 sub model (that I placed in December, 2007) is cancelled.
