White Ensign Models has just announced that their Tribal-class model has gone off to the casters and should be ready for sale in about 2 months.  

Iron Shipwright already makes a Tribal as the Eskimo.

Soon you will have your choice of three Tribals in 1:350 scale.   Not represented?

Yes, I am aware of all those resin kits in 1:350 scale.  I am mostly an aircraft modeler and am somewhat scare of resin ship kits.

Besides, when I can get (and did) a very high quality plastic kit of the Buchanan and PE fret for under $50 and $99 for the 1:144 Fletcher, it is hard to make a decision on a over $200 purchase. Hopefully, when the Buchanan and Fletcher are dispatched from my stash, the 1:350 plastic Tribal will be available. 

The lack of representation is referred to plastic kits only.

keilau ahh these kits ARE 1/350! Took the pictures at a shop in Halifax. Not my thing but was to make a point that domestic kits are available in a forum topic I started. Im sure Resin shipyard has tasty offerings for everyone who enjoys ship construction. I actually tried to get a job at Irving shipyards when I came out here, not to be as the spots filled quickly after the new year.

Hasegawa also has a 1/350 Casablanca class CVE announced (over on Cybermodeler). Lots of good subjects coming! I guess I will not have to convert my 1/350 Arizona to the 1944 Pennsylvania as I was planning to do. Guess she will now be the Arizona... Definately gonna have to grab the Trafalgar class SSN and the Z39 Zerstorer.

Now if they would only make a 1/350 plastic model of the USS Texas BB35.

Indeed, that's some great news and I'll look forward to seeing them.

Wow, finally a Vittorio Veneto class battleship in plastic and in 1/350 scale!!!!! This would be great if it's even fairly accurate. The only way to get one now is to buy the resin version from Delphis (which I did and have never started) which is very expensive. I'm looking forward to this one.
