Toms Modelworks makes a PE set in 1:125 designed for the Lindberg Blue Devil destroyer.    You can use parts from that for the minesweeper.    Otherwise nothing applicable in that scale.

Both Toms and Gold Medal Models make some generic parts in 1:500 scale for 500-ish kits.   Starfighter Decals also makes decals in the 1:500/1:540 scale range.  The 1:540 fits the Revell box-scale carriers.  That scale may be another detail option for you to look into.

Searching for Detail Sets for older models

First time posting, long time building. (Long time reader as well). Normally, I build 1/35 scale armor and figures, and 1/24 and 1/25 scale vehicles, but I recently acquired a lot of misc. models, dating back to at least the 70's.

Two of the kits I got were a 1/525 scale Lindberg USS Yorktown motorized kit circa 1977, and a 1/125 scale Lindberg U.S. Navy Minsweeper, circa 1980 something. I'd like to build both kits, but after looking at the sets, some of the parts are thick and not to scale. I know that there are detail and photo-etch parts kits out there for a variety of ship scales, but I couldn't seem to find any for these scales, not to mention these particular kits. I found the kits themselves, and reissues of the kits, but no detail sets.

Are they out there, and if so where? If they aren't out there specifically for these kits, are there generic sets that I could use?

Thanks for any info.
