Hmmm ... I've never used JAG decals either. Might it be the gloss coat? Did you use paint or Future?

I'm unfamiliar with JAG decals, but Gold Medal Models has decals in 1/700th for moderal USN ships. See link below.

Perhaps this should go in the decal forum, but since these are ship-oreinted subjects I thought I'd get better answers here.

 

Having a horrible silvering problem with JAG modern US ship markings for my 1/700 Arleigh burke.

Have tried all the typical tricks such as a gloss finish and liberal use of micro set and micro sol.

 

No dice. This is the first time I used a JAG decal product...is this typical?  Im not aware of any other alternatives for modern US markings unfortuantely.
