while doing some model research at the library i came across a book, The Model Shipbuilding Handbook by Brick Price. it was published in 1983 by Chilton Book Company, Randor, Penn., ISBN # 0-8019-7218-3. i had no clue that Chilton put out these types of books
. it has quite a bit of information on the building and detailing of model ships and covers the subject from stem to gudgeon
. for example it shows how to produce ratlines when the ones in the kit do not look quite right, plank and bulkhead construction, and a fairly extensive chapter on ship rigging. all in all a pretty good resource book for the modeling library at the workbech. has anyone else run across similar Chilton Hobby Series books? anybody have any info as to where i could possibly pick up more Chilton Hobby Series books for different types of modeling air, armor...etc?
any and all info will be greatly appreciated
