Im using testors enamels BRASS on my sub prop but the color seems to be a bit grainy. Ive stirred, mixed, shaken and done everything concievable to mix it. Do I maybe need to thin it down alot more?
Any help is appreciated

No, the pigment size is wrong for the scale, the grainy look is happening because the pigment is setting up too fast because it's heavy. Try the Testors non-buffing metalizer "Brass" you can paint small things such a props and bitts, bollards etc. You will need to paint 2 coats. I've used this as my mine source of metal paint for years.
