The Imai surfboats are very close to the look of a MSB. Sadly, they are the wrong scale but using Imai's boats as a reference one could fashion a surfboat out of, say, basswood or even thick plastic. As I mentioned on another site, Iron Shipwright's 1:350 scale Hamilton could be used in reference regarding the MSB. But another builder that has the kit stated the small boats in the kit looked like navy whaleboats.  If you're a real Coast Guard model junkie, be prepared to scratchbuildWink

I have been looking for the same thing. Do you know if the ones in the Imai 1/200 kit are correct, although the wrong scale?

Looking for USCG 26' MSB in 1/350 scale

I'm working on my USCGC Eagle in 1/350 scale, and I'm looking for a pair of 26 foot Motor Surf Boats.  (The kit boats are awful-- they are some sort  of wooden longboat, sutiable for the HMS Victory or the USS Constitution>)

Anyone know of a supplier for boats in this scale?

TIA!
