Look on the box, it will state that it is the updated and corrected version.

Which Minicraft 1/350 scale Titanic is considered to be the "updated version?"

Tank,

Don't forget to modify the firsl class prominade area, the Olympic and Britt. had an open gallery.  You can see this in the pictures clearly.  The modification to the side of the bulhead will need some careful modification, and the use of brass rod vs. plastic rod (strength).

The photo album through the site you had them in is ok.You have done one heck of a job there.I personally am going to finish the MINICRAFT on I started with and add the corrections and P.E. why? Well, 2,800 little holes all over the ship called ports and windows that are now ALL rigged for fibre optic lighting.I was even able to create the proper ends I needed to cast light on the funnels like from spotlights on the deck. They look neat on top of all the other lights and i can shut down sections like the passengers in an area have gone beddie bye! There is to much work on it at this stage NOT to finish it! The next TITANIC gets a name change to OLYMPIC!! and then the the BRITTANIC and a few other WHITE STAR LINES vessels, until I have the whole collection of WHITE STAR,S superships! The smaller ones (1/350 and such) get changed to the other ships from that fateful 24 hours!! That is my plan anyway! Again ,that,s a darned good looking job.       tankerbuilder.

Tank,

If you get the 1/350th. scale Minicraft Titanic, MAKE SURE you get the updated version, This version has many corrections and additions that were left off of the 1975 mold. The new kits is well worth the extra money, wait till the have a sale at Hobby Lobby stores or print out the 40% off coupon and go ang get one.

Corrections: number of port holes on the forepeak sides (correct 15 per side now) , relocations of different ventilations funnels,

Additions: Crew Skylight, anchor well, relocated stair wells.

Hi, well I have just about every TITANIC out there including one in 1/1200 scale! I personally cast my vote for the MINICRAFT kit with the photoetched parts.Yes it is largish, but it builds into a nice TITANIC with or without the P.E.. The p.e. just puts the icing on this old maritime cake!! I hope this helps you to decide !    tankerbuilder

I was just cruising the internet and checked out several online model shops and manufacturers and there's a lot more kits of the Titanic than I remember. I'd like a nice kit to put on my shelf with some other subjects, I'm a big fan of the subject but don't want to have to get into a major project. Size doesn't matter as quality is more important. Any help's appreciated. Thanks.
