IJN Junyo in its early paint scheme. The only IJN carrier that severely damaged the big E(USS Enterprise)
Nicely done. I especially like the way the deck looks. What kit and scale is it?

Nate
Thanks for all the kind word ,guys. I hope a 1/350 scale will be available. Provided the price is right
This is a 1/700 scale Tamiya kit. Its an old but nice kit.
very nicely done; ditto on the decks, what color(s) did you use? You had to add a/c to the wing, or did they all came with the kit? cheers
Nice thing about the 1/700 scale waterline series carriers (Fujimi, Hasegawa, Tamiya, Aoshima) is they come with aircraft. The Tamiya Shinano on the other hand comes with a complete air wing though.

Usually, I will weather my model with darker tone. So I will use lighter color than the original color. In this case, I use Gunze flat sail color then washed with a brown wash to try simulate wood deck with different tone.
After that I use dry brushing with carbon black powder to have the dark shading effect. Lion Roar provide a separate IJN airwing set complete with landing gear, payload, drop tank and propeller to add more realism of the airwing on the carrier. But I am waiting for my LHS to have a big discount.
And thanks for the compliment.
