Help!.
Posted by spacepacker on Friday, July 23, 2010 2:41 PM

I shouldn't be here really as I only build Armour but I do need some help.

I want to finish a vehicle with a very cold and frosted look, with icicles hanging from the sides.

So I thought you guys are always playing with white water; can you give me some ideas as to how i achieve the icicles...cheers....Kenny

I haven't tried it but one possibility might be using clear fishing line as a core for dripping thickened super glue.

I'm not certain how to dry the CA quickly, however.

I have had some succes with using plain old super glue. You can also use Mod Poge gloss medium. It takes some time to dry but you put it on something that it will not stick too,,I use old CDs or wax paper,,then using a toothpick,,,apply it where you want it after its starts to harden a bit.

Large pieces you can use scotch tape and apply the medium over it,, smaller pieces over fishing line like Spruce said..

I'm actually doing this on a figure for the Korean War group build and hope top have pics by Sunday.

Good luck!
