Interesting way to handle the shipping hijinks that a lot of Ebay sellers are resorting to, Big Jake. I am going to have to remember that one.

Yeah, I always love when they ask a nutty price and then have the nerve to ask for the shipping on these type of small items.

I recently has some good luck selling 3 rare Revel 1/32 Japanese issues (got one left a Bristol Beaufighter) . Discounted the shipping on two of them fit in one box.

Whats really torques my 'models' is when they state the shipping is something and you get the box in and the shipping is less than half.  I send them an email stating about leaving neg. feedback and requestest the refund.

'bout a year or so ago, I bought a part for my old truck I'm restoring and the item was stated as having (because of weight) a shipping of $35.  I get the box 16 days later because he shipping media mail and pocketed $25 of the $35.00.  I contacted him, explained he broke the terms of the shipping (express Mail Bull Sh*t) and that I would contact not only Ebay and Paypal plus file a complaint with the PO as he lied to them on the item packed inside the box. I had taken pictures of the item in situ with the box.

I told him he had 6 hours to send the money back via paypal and STATE the reason for the refundat me or else.  I got my money within 2 hours and left neutral FB.  That was the best he was getting from me.

The seller states:   Up for grabs is an AMAZING RARE item. This ORIGINAL Aurora Kit is 100% FACTORY SEALED...yes,still SEALED,with the *paper thin* cellophane still intact. This has not been tampered with. This came from an amazing collection just purchased with over 200+ Vintage kits. The item is overall in excellent condition & would grade a SOLID C8.This is as good as it gets with these !!! Dont let this pass you by !

How would he know the condition of the kit if it is still sealed? I suppose that he is assuming it is in good condition because it is still sealed. What's the shelf life of decals? Especially Aurora decals, if there are any included in this kit. $450 plus shipping?

Thanks for the link, Jake. It is an interesting bit of information.

I'm from the government and I'm here to help.
