Took me less than 2 weeks to complete.  Everything OOB except few railing on super structure. A nice heavy cruiser..

Looks incredible! I am always amazed at what people can do in 1/700 scale.

Yup.. It seems to look very huge in photo but in reality its parts are so small that are very difficult to handle.

Those 0.5 machine gun are worst.

The Ashigara was torpedoed not that far off in the Bangka Straits close to the Sumatra shoreline by HMS Trenchant. She was of the Myoko class of heavy cruisers.

Her sister ship the IJN Myoko was scuttled of the coast of Port Swettenham(now Klang) in the Straits of Malacca after the war.

Imagine all this happened around the coast of my country in WW2.
