Old Lindberg kit
Posted by COOKDUDE on Monday, August 2, 2010 3:23 PM

Does anyone know the value of an old(1970) Lindberg Jolly Roger pirate ship (no. 820:500) kit? Its still in plastic, never opened. I want to build it as a shipwreck, but not if its worth something.

Right now there are 19 of them on ebay, ranging from $7.99 to $40.00, with most in the $15 to $20 range. These are still available new, although there are rumors Lindberg is in trouble. Hope that answers your question.

I don,t know about value as the prices here change as much as most women change their minds. I do know that the series of sailing ships under the LINDBERG banner weren,t bad for just a plain old enjoyable build of a ship that was wind powered. The thing is there are problems with scale fidelity and accuracy.I just use them to relax and enjoy a neat build that,s different.  Enjoy your ship.   tankerbuilder
