Imai 1/100 Soleil Royal

Hello.  Anybody have a copy of the IMAI version of the 1/100 Soleil Royal instruction manual?  I ended up with this kit minus the instructions.  And, I definitely need the IMAI version as I've heard the Heller version is a nightmare..especially on the rigging!  Thank you all!

I've got the Imai instruction. But there all in Japanese. What I also have is the Aurora/Heller Prestige Serie Instruction which are all in English real easy to follow. I can mail one or the other or copies of both. Send a message with your address and I"ll get them out to you.

Is this kit new from Imai's own tooling, or is it a re tread from Heller's moulds?

They are both the same kit.  I'm not sure who came out with it first, though.

The moulds was, of course, made by Heller.

IMAI in the "last days" in middle 80'tys made some models from Hellers moulds, ie Amerigo Vespucci 1:150, Santa Maria 1:75 (strange for this model, becouse IMAI has perfect own molds of Santa Maria), Pinta 1:75, Nina 1:75, Soleil Royal 1:100 etc. (there was some auto models from Hellers moulds made too).

If you are still looking for those instructions, I could suggest something.

Use the Heller instructions for hull assembly, etc. and use Dr. Anderson's book (The Rigging of Ships in the days of the spritsail topmast) for the rigging.  I am building this ship now too and I picked up a copy on Amazon for 10 bucks. Should work, no?

Happy modeling
