I knew this reminded me of something, it looks like the Axiom spaceship from Wall-E is trying to mate with an upturned cruiseliner & ...... Well ..... Succeeding;

 bondoman:

I have been looking at this thing now for three days. It is really weird looking. must have been designed by the same bureau that designed this:

Nah that actually is a tasteful design. I think that Yacht was designed by a Limey who had too much Ale at the Pub.

That is either a really fast boat or a really slow plane. Either way it looks very dangerous, mostly to the people on it.

With a design like this, it ought to do at least 40 knots!  Only 23?  Bossman must have a lot of time on his hands to settle for that slow.  Or he really got hosed.

I don't care what it looks like, if I was a gazillionaire, it wouldn't matter much any way.....

Personally, I don't like the lines of the yacht at all. I would like to see the hull below the waterline though. It MIGHT be interesting.

Jim Captain

Jim- Looks to me like the bottom of the hull is above the waterline, it's just flipped upside down! I must be getting older than I thought, these new designs don't do much for me at all. Now the 70's, that was a decade of some tasteful designs!

"Motor Yacht A" has a name nearly as disgusting as it design!

It was designed by Philippe Starck (is he a relation of Ironman), built by Blohm & Voss, weighs in at 5,500 tonnes & manages a not so whopping 23 knots.

Imagine having that much money & allowing the designer to take you or a ride! Some interesting facts here;

Ditto  That's the worst looking yacht I've ever seen. The stern looks interesting though. Looks like there's a couple of smaller boats there.
