Milairjunkie I knew this reminded me of something, it looks like the Axiom spaceship from Wall-E is trying to mate with an upturned cruiseliner & ...... Well ..... Succeeding; Full of fat cat's either way.

Yes, does seem to be something, um, untoward going on!

That is either a really fast boat or a really slow plane. Either way it looks very dangerous, mostly to the people on it.
Blohm & Voss has a history of building ugly things,
BV 141
With a design like this, it ought to do at least 40 knots! Only 23? Bossman must have a lot of time on his hands to settle for that slow. Or he really got hosed.
Man, that is one butt UGLY pos of a tub!
I don't care what it looks like, if I was a gazillionaire, it wouldn't matter much any way.....

fox Personally, I don't like the lines of the yacht at all. I would like to see the hull below the waterline though. It MIGHT be interesting. Jim

Jim- Looks to me like the bottom of the hull is above the waterline, it's just flipped upside down! I must be getting older than I thought, these new designs don't do much for me at all. Now the 70's, that was a decade of some tasteful designs!
Rusty
Just another proof that money can't buy good taste.

i thought it was a russian copy of ddx 1000.
Reminds me of a G5 MTB or surfaced Sch class submarine
All hands, prepare to dive!!
"Motor Yacht A" has a name nearly as disgusting as it design!
It was designed by Philippe Starck (is he a relation of Ironman), built by Blohm & Voss, weighs in at 5,500 tonnes & manages a not so whopping 23 knots.
Imagine having that much money & allowing the designer to take you or a ride! Some interesting facts here;

That's the worst looking yacht I've ever seen. The stern looks interesting though. Looks like there's a couple of smaller boats there.

What do you think of this yacht? It cost $300 Million!
