HM Bark Endeavour

Hi everyone,

I am chasing some expert knowledge before embarking on an exciting MASSIVE build. Being Australian and a history buff this ship is something i have been waiting to build for many years. Well luck has fallen my way and I am in the process of getting the model via a weekly subscription thing. It is a wooden structure with heaps of PE and cast accessories. Scale is huge it will be about 1.2 metres long and 750 mm wide.

What I am asking is, do any of you have/or know where I can get some technical details pictures of this ship. I have searched the web (my way) and I am not getting much good data. I know it is hard because of the ships history and the fact the it apparently sits on the bottom of the bay in Rhode Island.

The books that come with the model do give details but are a little vague in proper detail for the job I want to accomplish.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

it needed replacing anyway.

You may wish to start at the Australian Maritime Museum's Endeavour page

Not much really, but it's somewhere to start.

Conways Anatomy of the Ship series has a volume on Endeavor. I know some volumes are better than others and perhaps someone else can speak to that, but it is full of plans and detail drawings. It is also on the list of resources at the official website.
