In anticipation of the new Arizona

Knocked off an old 1/700 dragon kit in the last 2 weeks. OOB builds are good stress relievers, no need to dig through PE pile!

The weathering looks a little heavy, but not too much.  Overall, a nice quick build!  And welcome aboard!Toast

Great Arizona in 1/700 scale!

Yes Trumpeter's new release is creating a buzz, at 3'1/2" it is not for anyone with limited bench space.

I like your weathering, the hull red to me seems a bit light. Could be the lighting you used to photograph though.

Now Lindberg is suppose to be releasing an Arizona kit in 1/144 scale sometime next year. Will be over 50'' long.

On the bench: So many hanger queens.

Lindberg's kit is most likely canceled at this point as the guy advocating it has been bought out and is no longer at the company. Their first try at it looks really rough and really bad.

Unless Lindberg has hired someone new to take over this project, it is probably dead.  But companies are still taking preorders, so maybe Lindberg did hire someone else.  If so, I hope it is someone willing to do the proper research.  Using submarine deck guns as the 5"/25 mounts was NOT cool on the sample they had last year (among many other glaring errors).  I guess we'll just have to wait and see......
