A model of the Japanese i-25 submarine
Posted by pathvet9 on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 1:07 PM

I am having a brain dump, nothing new  .... Embarrassed

I was reading some magazine, thought it was FSM. I saw a picture of the i-25 with the catapaulted floatplane and really would like to model that.

Anyone know of a kit? Thought it was reviewed but my searches are "0".   Huh?

Thanks in advance.

Cheers, Jake

Try the AFV Club 1/350 I-19; same class of submarine.

Tracy - thanks! Sorry to take so long to reply but I have been looking around.

See that Squadron has the I-19 on sale as well as an AFV detail kit. Sounds like I will spend the big bucks, but I have never done a sub.   Stick out tongue

Cheers, Jake

There is also the I-400 by Tamiya in 1/350, it carried 3 planes.

14 inches long

I picked up the Special Edition version with PE and a clear side so you can see the planes inside the storage compartment, ti even has crew figures and brass torpedoes
