Trumpeter 1/350th USS Lexington

Well, I took the plunge last night and started the Lex.  I ran into a little trouble right at the start with the first

part.  While trying to figure out how to locate it I decided to add some of the forward gun galleries in hopes

of seeing how the bow parts will fit..  There are the usual Trumpeter mold ejector pin marks on the bottom

of every gun tub.  Tamiya gray putty makes pretty short work of them, though.  As I'm typing this I have photos

uploading to Photobucket but the pix are quite large and the upload is going pretty slowly.  I figure if I add

10 -15 parts daily I should be done in about four months.  .

Just a small progress update:  The four propeller shafts and rudder are in place and I've got the first

coat of putty on the sunken areas of the bottom

and just for fun...1/350th and 1/35th
