Is Combat Models still in business? Has anyone ever built or seen the 1/72 scale vacuform kits of

USS Monitor

CSS Manassas

CSS Virginia

 

Can't speak specifically to those subjects, but Combat Model's ship subjects have the reputation of being little more than vacuformed shapes that bear only a passing resemblence to the intended subject.     Be prepared to invest heavily in additional resources and styrene stock necessary to reinforce,  replace, and scratchbuild details missing from the kits.

I've been working on their 1/72 "S-Boat" ( I know....S-Class Submarine ) on and off for the past few years.Be prepared to sink a tremendous amount of time,effort,and resources into their kits.
