At less then five bucks a kit if they are all intact is an exellent deal.

Indeed a good deal; you can resell the ones you don't want on evilbay and come out miles ahead!
Also, a waterline model is one where the hull is divided top & bottom at the waterline, so the model can be displayed "at sea".

That's a great deal...although some of the kits may not be the most modern updated versions, if you're getting back into it, that's a great way to get your feet wet without spending a fortune.

You can check out www.modelwarships.com gallery for images of most of the ships you'll be getting. There's also how-to articles written by myself and countless others on how we do specific things, like water, rigging, weathering, etc...
