Le Glorieux by Heller
Posted by Carmaux on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 8:43 PM

Today, looking for the "Heller´s paint chart" I found this website, a great place for the people who enjoy this pastime.

Six years after I finished the Revell's "HMS Bounty", I decided to buy the Heller's "Le Glorieux", this model is great although the quality of the product is less than the first one and the specifications of the instructions aren´t clear like in the Bounty. Even though this, I will start building the Glorieux and I will show little by little the advances of my work so you can help me and give tips and advices.

Hello!

I am willing to help any way I can.  I have built this kit several times.  One problem is that there is little to no planking detail on the hull, although the wood grain is there.  On one model, I planked the hull with plastic strip; on another, I sanded all woodgrain off. Both approaches worked well.

Good luck!

Good luck with your build. The Heller kit makes an impressive model, after some modifications.

There is an excellent online "practicum" for this kit at

About 6 years ago I armed the Bounty, I bought several painting bottles, now that I want to use them, some are dry, is there some form to return them again liquid?

Please excuse my English, but it is not my native language
