Got a question for anyone who may have knowledge of BB26 and
sister BB27.
I have marked in the circle a door or hatch, both pictures
show the same door but at a few years apart.
The question is, were these hatch doors for possible ammunition elevators
or just entry to the lower deck or just a shield and not a hatch at all?
The plans I have from Floating dry dock does not show this
door or whatever it is.
Btw the pictures were from Navsource….
