hasegawa ship instructions

Hi,
I have just purchased Hasegawa's 1/700 Hikawamaru, Japanese Pacific Ocean Liner. Some of the instructions are in English, but most including the painting instructions are in Japanese. I have not been able to find any translation on line. Does anyone have advice for paints to use for this kit?
