Liberty ship rigging
Posted by retdfeuerwehr on Wednesday, March 9, 2011 11:49 AM

I'm getting ready to add the running rigging to the Trumpy 1/350 liberty ship...for standing rigging, e.g., shrouds, etc., I'll use .015" styrene rod (it won't tighten up with heat, so I'll have to allow for that when installing), but want to use fishing leader for the cargo whips and topping lifts...what product would be most appropriate for this? I've heard different brands mentioned but don't recall the names. Any suggestions?

I use a product called Uni Caenis. It's about 0.002", which scales out in this case at about 2/3".
