Tsunami Vessels

Amazing pics but sad none the less.  Like the one on the building, there are were several pics of other vehicles like busses on top of multi-story buildings.  Wonder what the largest vessel is that made it the farthest inland?  Sure sorry for the folks who lost thei lives or family members.

Let us not forget that the tragedy extends to survivors.... Many people lost their livelyhood in these boats and other vehicles. And, I am sure that many of them lacked insurance or were underinsured. The misery is stacked as high as the boats.

As a former MERCHANT captain (PETROLEUM TANKERS0 I do indeed get greatly saddened by photos like these . Are the crews okay ? Are their families okay ? Thes questions keep going through my mind .On a more cold hearted note . I have seen all types of DIORAMAS of militaria (ships , tanks,soft skins etc . ) and I wonder , the terrible events well in mind , how would a dio of one of these go over in a show ? I know a fellow that specializes in air crash models so who knows .? I do feel so bad for the nation as a whole . First the quakes , then the wave and the afteraffect with the nuke generation facilities . how much more can these folks take ?  I speak from experience , to lose everything including your livelyhood is crushing to the spirit .  I pray for them and hope no one would consider what I,ve said to be in bad taste or gross . If my comments do hit you that way I certainly do offer a humble apology. I have known modelers to build some pretty poignant stuff . That is where the thought came from.         Tankerbuilder

Now here is a question.  See the house with the very nice blue boat on it's roof.  Does the owner of that house get to keep the boat now?

   How will the Japanese be able to return these boats back to the ocean ? Is there any powerful machinery that is strong enough to drag these boats back, or will they have to be taken apart  along with the rest of the wreckage during the cleanup ?
