I am having complications with the waterline plate and lower/upper hull.  The water line plate has two male ends and the upper hull is male too.  Has anyone confronted/overcome this problem or am I over analysing it?  Thanks

Not quite sure what you mean, I built this kit several years ago and don't remember any problems with hull fit.

I think you are having trouble because you are using the waterline plate and the hull below the waterline.  You are supposed to use the waterline plate only if you decide to build a waterline model, or the ship depicted at sea.  Otherwise, use the hull below the waterline for a full hull display.

I believe you may have the waterline plate upside down ,that,s the only way I can think that you would have two male edges. If you don,t want to do waterline,  then just use the lower  hull sections .You only need the waterline plate IF you are doing a waterline model . Otherwise it does NOT get used .   hope this helps you .               tankerbuilder
