e-boat railing
Posted by Bocks Suv on Thursday, March 17, 2011 10:33 PM

I've just started the Airfix e-boat and would like to use painted tissue for the canvas covers that hang on the railings, however the kit comes with the covers molded on and just dont look right, plus there arent enough extra railings to use as substitutes. Any ideas? What's a good way to find or make replacements? If anyone has a suitable extra set about 1/2" high, I can make do and pay you. Thx. Also looking for an extra 1/72 A-A gun to jazz up the rear deck.

Have you thought about using the canvas "dodgers" from the WEM PE fret for the Revell S-100?  That might help you, sir.

I don't think the older S-10 Type Schnellboote mounted extra guns.

I have the same kit and was thinking of using either plastic rod or brass.

I used small diameter styrene rod for the stanchions and stretched plastic sprue for the rails and left off the canvas dodgers.
