i will be starting this within the week. a lot of sub assemblies i can do as i gain more airbrush exoerience on the dozen or so models at the painting stage (1/144 u-boats, 1/350 ijn subs, LVTs, MK-IIs, ...) i have a couple of questions.
it looks like the interior is also light gray.
i think ythe prop shafts and screws would be a toned down brass color.
the instructions show thick thread for the steering line connecting the wheel with the rudder. i would think that is steel cable and not rope. if so i am looking at using picture hanging cable. also considering some lighting. would the lighting inside the bridge be red and would there be red light showing from the hatches at night on a mission?
i presume the fog buoy (aft starboard) is streamed but don't see any attached lines to secure it on deck and while streaming.
anybody know of a pe set coming out. i already have the crew and may start with them.
