Here is some of my 1/48 ship project !

A friend of mine's dad was on that very landing craft that the film was taken on - Queen's Own Rifles of Canada "A" Coy - Juno Beach.

Did the Normandy  tour a couple of years ago with Bill ( the vet ) and his family - a moving experience to say the least.

Hello there JMARC . I must say you certainly have a clean building style . Those vessels look great . I have told folks I use stuff like candy balls (hollow) for marine based items and they look at me like i am more than one brick shy on the load ! Your bathyscape helps me prove my point . Oh , the scale you work in happens to be my favorite .  I have to ask you though , where did you get the pictures of the yellow vessel to work from and what is it , a mini u boat ?? I would love to see the rest of the Luftwaffe rescue boat.  If that companionway is any indicator, it looks to be a beautiful build.  The US Coast guard boat has very nice lines.  I have discovered with my 1/200 Titanic that curved shapes on a hull are difficult to plank but you pulled it off very nicely.  I did not realize the fashion industry had its own rescue department but the US COATS GUARD seems to have at least one boat.  The Vietnam Rag Boat is absolutely gorgeous.  (It amy have been my mission, but it sure as [heck] was the chief's boat!) (Martin Sheen in Apocalypse Now) Do any of these boats run as in R/C or they all display models?  I also did not know the Monitor was painted red below the waterline but that gives it a nice visual break up and your steel (or I guess it was iron) plating looks beautiful.  Is it real metal?  Also, what is that Photon boat?  Was that for a solar powered boat race like the solar car races I've seen?  All in all, beautiful work!  I'll keep an eye on the site to watch your progress.  I'm eager to see the rest of the Luftwaffe boat.
