Turns out I have a question, guys. I plan to depict model with furled sails- will have to sew up a set.  How tightly were sailers able to furl sails against a yard. I have seen pics of both models and real ships with sails very tightly furled against yards, and others with big blobs of canvas tied there.

Were furled sails held furled with the same ropes that hold the sails to the yards?  None of my references talk about furled sails much.

Pavlvs

How did you get started?  I just got the kit and the deck appears to be too wide.  Although this is just a dry fit.  I haven't started the kit yet

I made sure the hull seam was very strong- applied a second coat of gel CA along the inside of the hull along the seam so the hull would stand some flexing.  The deck then set into the hull pretty easily- no big effort needed.

Don't know why there is even an aft deck section- it is completely covered by the rear structures.
