Great job.

Really nice work on the oil canning and the paint work, I especially like the close up of the anchor with the pitting in the surrounding areas it looks like real cast metal.

TS4438, there are 2 up of sale over on Hyperscale.

The prices are going up since it's OOP.

Great job on the oil canning effect on the hull. The weathering is just perfect.Beer

They also came out with the Atlantic version in 1/144 scale and hopefully Griffon will be out with a detail set for it. I did the type VII/C in 1/144 scale with the Griffon set and quality of the detail is just amazing!

Awesome!

I'm still kicking myself for not picking up one of these kits.

Hi,

i recently finished this project, it took me about a year to complete this model.

Almost every aftermarket  upgrade kits which are available for this kit were used:

-Nautilus wooden deck

-Eduard VII/C PE kit

-White Ensign models type VII flood, drain and vent holes PE kit

-Griffon FLAK-guns high detail kit

-Modelbrass type VII PE kit

-Archer transfers type VII rivet decal set

I opened al the floodholes, added ribs inside the hull above the saddletanks, remade the railings from 0.5mm brass wire, scratchbuild the whole exhaust system wich lies beneath the deck, `oil canned` the hull, replaced about 800 rivets wich were sanded away, corrected the `bull nose` and corrected all the faults in this kit (wich are many....)
