Very Good--ImaNewbie.  In adition to the windows and cannon shelvs, you will need to bie : two lengths of large chain for the main ancurs, and one length of smaller chain for the aft ancurs.  Just make sure to run a piece of string through thies holes in the hull before glueing the two haves of the hull together, so that you can use the string to pull the ancur chains through later.  O-and be sure the large end of the propeller is forward.  And dont throw away the sprue's, you will need the round ended peacess to exstend the back ends of the cannons to the right length.  I think this is enuf to get the two havs of the hull together, so we can talk about the top deck later.

I actually haven't even started doing anything yet.  I did notice the boxes on the hull for the cannons.  Thought it was unusual but then realized there are no decks other than the top one.  But I like that idea of cutting out the windows and making a shelf for the cannons so I'll have to look at that.  This is my first attempt at a sailing ship so any tips are certainly welcome.  Thanks!   Rolf

That kit has been on my wish list for decades but I have never been fortunate enough to find it.  It was released by Heller as well, and might be re-released by Aoshima.  I believe Lee did one as well.  I am envious!

Imai (1/150) Napoleon

I picked up an old Imai 1/150 Napoleon plastic kit from someone off of Craigslist for $8 a couple of years ago.  Yes, it was a steal (unknowingly to me at the time).  The box is a little worn and dusty but the pieces are in ammaculate shape and all still attached to the mold sheets.  It looks like everything is there and just waiting to be built.  The problem is the instruction manual is in Japanese.  I think another company re-issued a similar kit after Imai went out of business.

What I'm hoping to find is someone that may have and English version of the instructions that I could borrow/copy/buy to use as a guide or any suggestions to help me out?

The is an awesome looking model of the first French steam Ship of the Line and I think I could probably manage through building it from the pictures, but I really want to be accurate on the colors.
