I am gonna kick myself one of these days.I had this all written and hit the wrong key ---BYE-BYE__ So , I start over . This is an up-date of my build w/o pictures (sorry about that ) I have finished the 5" and 5"/38 guns and they are multiparted beauties ! Now , the CRANES ! First ,a reminder , make sure you read and understand the instructions and the detail-up instructions. They often overlap in more than one step . The cranes have separate sheaves and hooks even . This means tweezers ,  and most of the time ! Make sure you have an apron or something to catch the parts , there are NO spares ! You would be advised , try the plastic parts BEFORE you decide on the P.E.  WHY ? well the parts are so well and delicately molded you may decide NOT to use the P.E. on the cranes . Personally ,I chose to use the P.E.  I believe it makes these parts really stand out .These parts are so well molded ,  there are bolts and rivets that don,t show up until you put some paint on them ! Even so the P.E. is so delicate I would like to know who did these things As an aside I have four or five DRAGON "SMART-KIT" destroyers with All the upgrade  P.E. parts ! They too ,  are very delicate . SO far all the P.E. in this kit and the extra "DETAIL-UP" P.E. are the equal or possibly better than some EDUARD , TOM,S and G.M.M. put together and that,s going some . NOT to mention the other fine firms out there .The main stern crane has at least 10 P.E. parts . The other two have and equal count . When finished , well, you will sit back and be very pleased with yourself . Point in fact . I will be using TAMIYA deck tan for the decks and I highly recommend that you DO NOT ,  airbrush it . I am using a custom mix of MODELMASTER (TESTORS) for the painting Using empty , clean , glue bottles I have mixed 1 bottle flat white to 3/4 bottle of dark flat sea blue , this gives me a brighter , lighter, light sea blue which is what the client wants . The light grey is a mix of light aircraft grey 1/2 bottle to 1/2 bottle of flat white , Again TESTORS MODELMASTER paints. Well , that ,s it for now    good build ing    tankerbuilder
