Yes. I thought I'd challenge myself and try to make a correct hull for the model.

So you are re-carving the hull?

1. working on the 1/350 version. Love the ship, needed a new hull. It's a nice kit and I read that the 1/700 is too.

2. Gold Medal makes a generic USN WW2 PE set in 1/700. That's all I could find online for you. They make about $ 150 worth of 1/350 PE for the same ship.Embarrassed Gator makes camo masks for the E and the Hornet in both scales.

3. I am not an expert, but the hull of the three is almost identical, so my WAG would be islands/ stack. And the Hornet had a longer flight deck that's more square at the bow.

For some unknown reason that defies explanation...I missed the fact that Trumpeter released a 1/700th scale Hornet (also in 350th) awhile back...I scooped one up today for $25---includes normal air group and B-25's for the Doolittle operation!!!

Nice to see a new early Yorktown class after having nothing to build but the anemic Tamiya Enterprise since 1980...A few questions:

1. Anyone build this MOJO yet?

2. Who makes a good PE set for this MOJO?

3. How hard would it be to convert this MOJO into the Yorktown or Enterprise?
