*laughs* So when does your two week stay start?

Seriously, to 99 percent of the public, a ship is something that sits in the water and is pointy at one end and blunt at the other.

And floats (normally) also some have a big fan under water at the back end that makes it go.2 cents

Winters may be cold in Canada but at least there are no mosquitoes or blackflies

During the early stages of WWII, when my late father was a Ltcdr, my parents had lunch several times with Capt. Albert Rooks and his wife at the Mayflower Hotel. Capt. Rooks was later killed, when his ship the cruiser HOUSTON, CA 30, was sunk at the battle of Sunda Strait on March 1942.

Montani semper liberi !     Happy modeling to all and every one of you.

We looking at a March 2012 window, I'd like to see the Cherry Blossoms.  But seriously, we're looking at shipping it down to the shop for a complete cleaning overhaul and Re-rig.  Probally take about  a month.  I'm looking into a shipping company now.

This past week I was attending a conferance on Water Issues and was booked at the Mayflower Hotel on Conn Ave. It is a beautiful Hotel with all the ammend. you could ask for.  Damn impressive.  HOWEVER and it's a BIG HOWEVER.  The very Large maodel of the Mayflower thatwas set up over the Concerarge Desk was really rigged badly wih simply round donuts for deadeyes.  You would think that this model as large as it was ABOUT 5 FT. long (see Pictures) would have been able to be rigged correctly.  I took a moment to introduce myself to the mgr. explained what I do and asked if they would like me to make the corrections free of charge, all they need do is ship it to me or let me stay at teh hotel for 2 weeks. ;)

It funny how these things get over looked, You would have though that anyone who built this to that scale could have done better,  the Blocks were incorrect too.
