For those looking for this kit on E-bay, hold your horses. RoG site has this as being released in Sept

http://www.revell.de/index.php?id=210&KGKANR=0&KGKOGP=10&KGSCHL=4&L=1&page=1&sort=0&nc=&searchactive=&q=&SWO=&ARMAS4=&PHPSESSID=774af01874800d767624f1496219b215&KZSLPG=&offset=1&cmd=show&ARARTN=05015&sp=1

So glad i didn't carry on with the two i saw on E-bay. Both were in the hight £40 when i dropped out.  hannnats has it down as being £50

Like the He 111P, i image you guys across the pond might have to wait a bit later.

I got one from warshipguy just the other day. The price wasn't too bad, either. I saw a couple on ebay but I haven't checked lately to see what they're up to pricewise. Warshipguy still had an Amati type VII-B and he might have a Gato, just in case anyone's interested. And thanks for all the help with this, guys. My grandfather served on the U-52 so I've wanted to build this particular kit for quite some time. When I get ready to start building it I'll probably do a post to see if anyone has any suggestions for backdating the VII-C to a VII-B.

Just found one on E-bay UK, so i might get that depending on how high it goes. Other wise i think i will be getting this from hannants.

Revell will probably re-release them again. That Atlantic version is a beauty. It was also released in 1/144 scale but Griffon has not done a detail set for it. Their detail set for the Type VII/C is fantastic.

I got mine a couple of weeks ago on E-Bay. There was a whole run of these for about two weeks. What I want to get is a 1/72 Corvette- now those are harder to find.

Got one in the basement I picked up at Hobby Lobby on clearance for 40 bucks. Was hoping the Gato would eventually make it clearance but it never did. Good luck!!

Also saw 'em on sale at Hobby Lobby, but didn't buy.

Hobby Lobby is occasionally a good place to buy kits.

Especially the gigantic kits.Stick out tongue

I must admit that I seriously regret not buying at least one of those Revell u-boats when I had the chance.

Keep an eye over on Hyperscale, they pop up every couple of months sometimes several the same week.

I'm still kicking myself for not getting the U-Boat and Gato together for $100 last year that someone had offered, i passed on it since i already had a Gato.

 Manstein's revenge:

I bought a couple several months back and they were NOT east to find---especially the c/41 Atlantic and type IX...try Amazon...

The Type IX in 1:72 scale should be damn near impossible to find as Revell never made one.

Well there you go then; I was thinking of the 1/144th offerings...and watch your language...

i have been trying to find one of these for a while now. The /41 shows up on E-Bay now and again, but i am after the earlier one. Hopefully Revell will bring it out again soon.

I am waiting for another re-release of their U Boat. I already have one built but I'd like another one and I'm not willing to pay premium for it. I've seen worse and older kits floating around, gathering dust and warming up the shelves. I have yet to understand why these are issued in small numbers when there is clearly interest in them.

Revell U Boat 1/72 Where are they?
Posted by garylee on Tuesday, June 28, 2011 7:58 AM

Does anyone know where I can get a 1/72 Revell U Boat kit? They seem to have disappeared from the online hobby sites. Did I wait too long?
