On TV that is.The only television commercials I ever recall seeing were the fairly recent (for the modeling industry)  Gundam commercials.Would television ads boost the hobby?

Airfix piggybacked a Santander advert here in the UK in 2008;

I can't really think of any others though, not in recent years or over here anyway.

In the late 50s, yes, but that was a golden age (there was a well-stocked hobby shop on the bus stop, on the opposite corner from my church).  I recall TV ads for Revell, Monogram, and Airfix, mostly missile models.  And there were print ads in Boy’s Life, Mechanix Illustrated, and others.  [icon of burning synapse]
