Is there another book that has the rigging?  I have the Super Illustration IJN Battleship Nagato, but see the Yamato is no longer in production.

Not on the instruction sheet. There is a side profile view with rigging, but the overhead view does not show rigging.

Do you know if the rigging is included in the diagrams?

NOT my work yet took these pictures for a fellow competitor's build at CAMS 2011 model contest @ Fredericton, New Brunswick in May.

Hope the photographs inspire some perspiration on your build!

Hard to believe this was his first model in 40 years!Toast

The kit depicts her in her final guise.  I do recommend the Janulski book because it is extraordinarily researched, diagramed, and documented.  It has also republished and is readily available.

Tracy White

From what I remember it's a bit of a mish-mash, but mostly a mid war fit; i.e. not her final mission and not her shakedown.

The instructions state that she is fitted out as her final voyage of April 1945. She is certainly not in her early fitting with the triple 6" turrets. I am looking at backdating mine to her Leyte Gulf configuration.

It's part of the "Anatomy of the Ship" series, which is well regarded. You can see a bit of a preview here.

Question on Yamato

I made the IJN leap by breaking down and buying the Tamiya Yamato with Lion Roar set.  (I'm more early USN and KM fan) My question is what year is the kit representing and how will the PE help?
