Yay! I loved Japanese flat-tops back when I was a kid and still enjoy them today. My friend and I made some really cool ones out of Legos. LOL We used to take turns bombing them. of course the ends of the flightdecks went first with the lack of support from the braces.

Get this MOJO done!

Seriously, it's looking sharp with that brass deck on her.

Thanks Gents. I find that it is more fun to try and improve an older Kit than to build a newer Kit. Insanity must be a prerequisite........Cheers Mark

All that brass will sink her.

Great start. My friend built this up some 35 years ago. Yours is bound to be a major upgrade on that. That's a lot of PE.

I started this Kit a while ago in tandem with the Hood but put it on the backburner while I finished of the Biggn. Now I have gone back to her with the intent to finish her off. This is what I have started with......

All Girder Work has been added to the underside of the Flightdeck and has been Basepainted. The Pen in the Shot shows the size of what I am working in.......

I have also started work on the Hull. All the Galleries have been removed to accept P/E Replacements. All Walkways have had all Beackets removed and replaced with Brass and P/E Hatches have been added ro all appropriate Areas. More to come soon......Cheers Mark
