The kit is somewhat old, I think that it was first released around 1966 or so. I've seen folks swap aircraft with the Lindberg Essex class carrier kit (which came with an air wing of all F6F's) - at that scale the difference in size between the F4F's that were in service in 1941 and the later F6F should be acceptable. Matt Stein Models, (sorry, I don't the URL) produces resin 1:500 aircraft, I think including Grumman F3F and F4F fighters and TBF Avengers.
I might have some spare F6F's from an old Lindberg that I could mail to you if you want them. Let me know and I'll take a look.
