Pacific front used to sell a 1/700 model of the raider "Pinquin" which is pretty close. They are now Freetime Hobbies and it doesn't show up on their site.

Modeling is an excuse to buy books.

I know that I found the German Raider Atlantis in I believe the 1/700 scale wished I had bookmarked it as I cannot find it now.Does anyone know of this kit and by who.I do recall it was around 150.00 kinda pricey but at least it was another option as Auroras was the only other one

The sprue pics actually look pretty decent for such an old kit...a new mould of this would do well I believe...

Three for sale on Ebay now which sort negates the RARE component.

I always wait for other rare models to finish their bids (or be in their last hours) before listing my own same rare model.

If one searches the Internet with Aurora Atlantis there is a site which has one built up and unpainted and the model has too much beam to length to accurately represent the Atlantis.

Not........

Actually  not a bad investment there, Herr Lizard Lips. The kit is a true one-of-a-kind.

It could be sold for as much as $ 700 in an unopened box.

I think a Q ship/ Commerce raider GB would be a very good idea.

All from scratch of course. Otherwise this kit is about it. The Revell "Seeadler" is a travesty, a rebox of the Eagle.

You would have thought that by now someone would have came out with a nice 1/350 one in plastic.Revell of Germany,Trumpeter,Dragon,or Hasegawa.I'm sure it will sell. Why haven't we seen one yet ?

here's the link to the item

That's $579.99 more than I'd pay for it.

That's too much past my $229 price limit.

I doubt I'd pay $450-580 for an Aurora kit. I'm not that sentimental for a piece of plastic.
