And now that the exchange rate for the pound isn't quite so insane, the WEM kit is about $27.54. The Buttercup comes with PE to outfit it with minesweeping gear, the Bluebell is a little more generic. And as Ed says, their shipping is superfast.

Thanks, guys.  Those were just what I was looking for.

I bought the Iron shipwright 1/350 scale kits years ago. They are pretty good except they had some inaccuracies like the extent of the plank sheathed deck on the fo'c'sle. Read your references and these inaccuracies can be easily fixed and you will have a great model.

 As to the Revell kit it has loads of mistakes as well. The whole deck was not wood sheathed. The bar stem is way to thick and there was no bar keel on Flower Class covvettes. The amaments are very rudimentary.  Try Great Little Ships for after market detailing kits, they have loads, enough that if you use all of their detail kits the only parts of the original Revell kit you will use will be the hull. Since Sirmar is out of business they are about the only after market parts available.

 One last thing, a hull that size just SCREAMS out to be made R/C :)  I did that to mine 20 years ago and it is still going strong even after being attacked by Canada Gease and a swimming  hunter killer rottweiller.

I sure agree on the armament. I will be modifying the main gun, replacing the mounting with a scratchbuilt mounting.  I will be adding resin 20 mm guns and replacing the Lewis guns with a PE set, suitably modified.

I  used Sirmar detail kits for my corvette.  Unfortunately they are now out of business. Even with the errors I mentioned the Revell (Matchbox) kit still makes a great model.
