Liberty ship John W. Brown (pic intensive)

As an early birthday gift, the wife took me on a cruise today on the John W. Brown. The ship is based in Baltimore and along with the Jeremiah O'Brien, are the only two operating Liberty ships in existence. As she will be my next project, and first ever ship, I had to take a few pics and I've posted a few here. Midway through the cruise, we were "attacked" by two Japanese planes, a Zero and a Val. Fortunately for us, a B-25 was in the area and helped to chase them away. I decided to video the action. When I got home, I discovgered that I should have read the camera's manual before trying to video. I got nothing recorded. But at least I have my memories. Anyway, here are a few pics.

At dockside.

General MacArthur was a guest and this is what he arrived in.

5", 38 caliber stern gun

20 mm anti-aircraft gun
