removing the seemlines on my 1/150 Cutty Sark

Hi there

  I need help with removing the seem lines along the length of the hull from bow to stern there are tiny saw looking edges that run from the bow to the stern and  ther is a plank looking detail  right above the rudder but below where the decal goes I need to remove the seem without loosing all the detail mention here can it be done I have allready started applying putty/ mister surfacer 500 to the seems or is that wrong any suggestion would be most greafull-thank you
