What about backdating the Academy 1/350 Warspite ??

I know the one slatted for release is a WWII fit like the Warspite, they have a 1/700 offering of a 1918 fit, I would imagine after their first release they'll move on to a 1/350 WWI fit.

While I agree it's ashame Warspite wasn't preserved, by the time the second world war was over she was worn out.  She never really recovered from the german "fritz-x" missile, as one of her after turrets wasn't functioning.  Then when she hit a mine in 1944 she had only two shafts to push her along.  Combined with the fact that she didn't have a proper refit, she was literally worn out, much like the Rodney.  I think maybe wait for Trumpeter's Queen Elizabeth.  I know the one slatted for release is a WWII fit like the Warspite, they have a 1/700 offering of a 1918 fit, I would imagine after their first release they'll move on to a 1/350 WWI fit.

What about the Trumpeter kit? 

mic53mlb, removing those bulges will leave massive holes in the hull that you will have to replate but if you are willing then it can be done & done well.

Its a shame that that vessel wasn't preserved after the war. She had won so many awards and honors.
