Just wanted to let you know of a charm I found at Amazon.com I was doing some early Christmas shopping and was searching for a few nautical things for my new Council office. I came across a collection of silent movies, some of which were directed by Alan Villeries (author fame). I’d past the link by our work filter will not let me do so. So do a search for “Under Full Sail” $26.99 but well worth it, it you love sailing movies.
One 20 minute clip is included showing EXACTLY how the whalers did their work under sail and by hand harpoon (the risk to the camera men is noted) . Tell the kiddies and the wife this is what dad wants for Christmas!
