Not a bad deal for $20! Both are 1/350 kits.

Nice!  I recently picked up a box of some 15 1/700th scale Tamiya/Hasegawa waterline ships for 30$ for the box.

That's a huge score. Any japanese carriers in the lot?

Is that Revell really a 1/350? I thought it was more like 1/500 or something. What brand is that Yamato, I can't make it out.

The Yamato looks to be the old Life Like boxing.

Is it possibly a re-pop  of a Pyro kit? I don't recall a Pyro Yamato but I have seen the Life Like Yamato on ebay occasionally.

Really?  I dont know much about ship kits to be frank, just couldn't pass that up.  I only have one, besides these here, and I haven't built it yet because I dont want to screw it up.

The Yamato is the Life Like kit.Any idea how old it is? I thought Life Like only did model railroading kits.

Not a bad deal. The Revell Mo is 1/535 and is a nice kit although toy like. Worth about $ 20.

The Yamato is a bit more interesting because its big. In line with Lindberg, or Pyro where I believe it came from.

Thats a fun thing though. It would be a great model after a lot of work, but not much without it. A couple of PE sets and about a year of bench time would result in a real conversation piece.

Smeagol, pull up a seat.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frog_%28models%29

Frog created many models that are currently unusual and much sought after. Incredible detail for the time, and often reboxed by all of the known European kit companies down the years. Their Whitley remains a unique example in plastic, and the Shackleton is a rare kit, only reboxed by AMT.

Oh, cool.  Thanks.  The one I have is in a plastic bag which is attached to a light carboard card that is folded over and stapled that has the instructions and box art printed on it.

Darn, looks like almost all of them are destroyers. I would have interested in heavy cruisers or perhaps a carrier.

Most are destroyers except for the two submarines
